Inscription
Seeing the Valley from within... from the inside out, keeping it closed in on itself. Seeing from the inside out was my commitment, my inscription.
The Valley has a long history of marginalisation and exclusion, inscribed in decades and decades of abandonment. The outside view is marked by feelings of rejection. Those who come from outside are seen before they see. Those who live and work here have their own codes of protection.
It is certain that the Valley will be swallowed up by concrete, by the devastating fury of property developers. This is how the City plans to include the Valley and be able to sleep peacefully.
