Percebes

The images I present in Percebes were taken over three years in Figueira da Foz during the Gliding Barnacles festival, at the invitation of friends who organise it. I wandered between the beach and the garage in the city centre, photographing and searching. Searching for and photographing his cast of protagonists and characters. It is in this geography and environment that I situate my sea within a culture that was foreign to me—surfing.
